Shelf Made

Four bare walls on a busy crossroads, and three rivals across the street. Build the corner everyone shops at, one shelf at a time.

A Shelf Made shop on its first morning: staff stock the shelves while a customer browses and another parks outside

Shelf Made is a grocery store tycoon for the browser. You start with four bare walls on a busy crossroads and three rival stores across the street, and pick your corner: Main Road for passing drivers, Elm Street for loyal regulars, or the bus stop for commuters and the after-school crowd. Each has its own traffic and rent.

Then you build the shop from bare concrete, order stock from three wholesalers and carry the boxes from the pallet to the shelves yourself. You ring up every basket at the till until you can hire a cashier on day 3, then stockers, and a manager who reorders, sets prices and runs ads by your rules. Grow far enough and you open a second branch.

It runs on a deterministic simulation in TypeScript, with React for the interface and three.js for a bright, chunky low-poly town. It is a free beta until December 10, 2026, with a Sandbox mode that starts you on $50,000 and no rent.

From bare concrete to a chain of stores

Early on you do the hands-on work yourself. As the shop grows, each job can go to staff, so it never turns into a chore.

  1. Pick your corner

Main Road for passing drivers, Elm Street for loyal regulars, or the bus stop for commuters. Each has its own traffic and rent.

  2. Stock every shelf

Order from three wholesalers, then carry the boxes from the pallet at the back door out to the shelves.

  3. Ring up every basket

Scan each item at the till yourself, until you can hire a cashier on day 3.

  4. Open a second branch

Hire stockers and a manager who reorders, prices and advertises by your rules, then grow into a chain.
