The most rewarding wellness program for shift teams

Rewarding shift teams for looking after their health. I led the mobile frontend: the app crews open before, during and after a shift.

Stressie on a phone, showing a team's top stressors, beside the managers' dashboard on a laptop

Stressie is an employee wellness program for shift workers: restaurant crews first, then hospitality, healthcare and warehouses. Staff check in privately, take short resets before a shift and earn points they trade for real rewards, while managers see anonymous, team-wide insights on a dashboard.

I was head of mobile frontend and tech lead for the dev team. I built the app people use on shift, on iOS and Android: the check-ins, the coping library, points and rewards, and the insights screens.

It was refined through a six-month pilot with Ember in Austin, where stress dropped 22% and 35% of staff said they felt more supported.
